RFI Management
Dashboard

A dedicated workspace for construction teams to track, manage and resolve requests for information.

The Problem

RFIs are a communication lifeline on construction sites — and most teams manage them badly.

Requests for information are one of the most common and most important communication flows on a construction project. When an ambiguity arises in the documentation — a detail that needs clarification, a specification conflict, a change that needs authorisation — an RFI is raised. It needs to reach the right person, get a response within an agreed timeframe, and leave a documented record. Most construction teams manage this through a combination of email, spreadsheets and tribal knowledge. The result is missed deadlines, lost context, and no reliable visibility over what is outstanding.

The Thinking

The problem isn't information — it's flow.

The volume of RFIs on a large project can run into hundreds. The challenge is not the individual RFI — it's knowing, at any moment, which are open, which are overdue, who is responsible, and whether SLA commitments are being met. A well-designed system turns a fragmented communication process into a structured, visible workflow. The design question was: what does a construction team actually need to see, in a single view, to stay in control?

The Solution

A workspace built around the way construction teams actually work.

RFI Management Dashboard

The dashboard gives construction teams a centralised inbox for incoming RFIs, automated assignment to the relevant discipline, real-time SLA tracking with visual indicators, and a complete audit trail for every item. The interface is designed to work at desk and on site — responsive across web, tablet and mobile.

The Outcome

What changes when RFI management becomes a system.

  • Construction teams have a single place to view every open, overdue and resolved RFI across a project.

  • Automated intake and assignment removes the manual steps that cause delays.

  • SLA compliance becomes visible — not something that has to be chased.
